Charmaine Wilkerson's company—And Here's Lilly—recently landed a contract to organize Pacific Bell's Democratic National Convention private events.

And Here's Lilly has managed the two Inaugurals of President Clinton in Washington, D.C., and ran the logistics team for the opening of the Reagan Library, attended by five Presidents and their First Ladies.

Under the leadership of Operation HOPE, Inc., America's first nonprofit investment banking organization, and a broad cross section of supporting organizations, in partnership with leaders from the private sector, government, the civil society, and the Summit Organizing Committee hosted the first ever Inner-city Economic Summit, featuring special guest the Honorable Al Gore, Vice President of the United States of America.

This historic Summit meeting on April 15, 2000, at the Los Angeles Southwest
College, brought together all of the substantive players on the American
economic field. This event will be an opportunity to chart a new course for
the future of America's urban, inner-city and under-served communities.

company co-owned by mother-daughter team, Liliana and Charmaine Wilkerson, and Tammy Baker of the Baker Group Event Management represent the diversity and economic impact that small businesses have in Los Angeles. Latina and women owned, And Here's Lilly once again, demonstrated their professional event planning and impeccable
management services of major events as they have done before with the two
Inaugurals of President Clinton and the historic opening of the Reagan

beginning with a Private Reception the night before, to the all-day Summit the following day with guest speaker Vice President Gore with attendance of 800 guests.

The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce's monthly publication, "Southern California Business Trends", featured And Here's Lilly as one of the small business success stories in Los Angeles for the May 2000  issue which can be found inserted in the Los Angeles Business Journal.  The article describes how Founder and President, Liliana Wilkerson, has grown the company to become a brand name which signifies outstanding, personal service in catering and event production.  Together with her daughter, Charmaine Wilkerson, who also runs the company, they explain how the business has transformed and give advice on what other small businesses should do to thrive in Los Angeles.

The award for “growing business” went to And Here’s Lilly, an event-planning firm that offers fine dining to corporate and private clients.  Founded by Liliana Wilkerson in 1987, the company has planned and managed events for heads of state and dignitaries, including Presidents Bush and Reagan and former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
