The award for “growing business” went to And Here’s Lily, an
event-planning firm that offers fine dining to corporate and private clients.
Founded by Liliana Wilkerson in 1987, the company has planned and managed events for heads
of state and dignitaries, including Presidents Bush and Reagan and former British Prime
Minister Margaret Thatcher. |

 On March 24, 2000 the LBA (Latin Business
Association) hosted their annual Gala Awards Dinner "A Legacy of Latino
Excellence" at the Century Plaza Hotel. The purpose of this magnificent gala is
to honor the exceptional achievements of Latino entrepreneurs as well as the outstanding
contributions of other individuals and corporations which foster the development of Latino
businesses. This year, Liliana Wilkerson, Founder and President of And Here's Lilly
Event Management, was one of three finalists chosen from 27 nominations for Latin Business
of the Year 2000 Under 5 Million. |

Liliana
was interviewed by the distinguished Blue Ribbon Panel representing
companies such as Boeing, Bank of America, and The Los Angeles Times audited by Deloitte
and Touche. During the interview Liliana pointed out how her involvement with the
LBA has also contributed towards her success and how such organizations have been such a
wealth of resources for small and medium sized businesses. |

evening were the video interviews presented by KVEA Channel 52 Telemundo. In Lilly's
interview she explained her heartfelt success was due to the hard work, dedication and
loyalty of her employees. That without them she wouldn't be here receiving the award
which was truly earned by her devoted staff. |
